Personal life-coaches help their clients overcome limiting beliefs that interfere with making progress and set powerful goals to move forward. Undoubtedly, your coach actively works to boost your esteem, motivation, and commitment until you are ready to do it on your own.
As coaching is helping a person to step back, see the big picture, grow and develop their own skills, coaching can help you better understand your issues, become more aware of your perceptions, beliefs, habits, attitudes, behaviors, competencies, values and your identity.
A coach helps you grow by analyzing your current situation, identifying limiting beliefs and other potential challenges and obstacles you face and devising a custom plan of action designed to help you achieve specific outcomes in your life.
While hiring a coach can be a powerful solution to help you solve issues or attain goals, it's not a miracle fix. Hiring a coach is likely not worth the money when you: Want someone to listen to your problem and explore your feelings.
You may need a therapist instead.
You should have more clarity after having a first session. Most life coaches, like me, offer this for free, so there's no risk checking it out.
