I admit.

I plead guilty.

I’m serious.

I'm full of it.

I’m not hiding it.

But I’ve learned to catch my BS. And I do it rather quickly.

Yesterday I had what you call a day off.

Except for today I know it wasn’t a day off.

I believed my BS. I missed a call due to the time difference and I had a few people not showing up for calls.

I was feeling tired.

Today I know it’s BS. Missing that call was my own stupid mistake. I should have paid more attention.

People that don’t show up on calls I’d rather miss. If they don’t come back to me or apologize I know they are not my clients anyway.

And the feeling tired. Well, I should have taken a nap.

See how it is all a load of crap.

And this crap feeds itself as sweet candy.

Before you know you start believing your BS.

Many people do without realizing what it is.

They justify their actions or not-actions and find all kinds of excuses not to do a thing.

That’s what most people do.

It’s human.

And there’s nothing wrong with it except when you have a goal in life.

That can be a goal as finding a new job or losing some weight. Starting a business. Getting more clients in your business. Hiring people for your business etc.

Even highly driven people like myself use excuses.

I’m even very good at it. I mean convincing towards others.

But since I catch my BS now, things are looking different.

For one I now have people who support me and some others who care.

There used to be a time that I didn’t want any help.

Now people call me out on my BS.

That’s called good coaching. If you want to grow you need people who will tell you the truth as it is and don't run around the bush.
