In my previous career, I was a professional clown.
One of my teachers told me.
If someone calls you an idiot, say: ‘thank you.'
And that’s exactly what you should say now when someone calls you an idiot.
It means you’ve got the guts to step out of your comfort zone.
It means you comfortable being uncomfortable because you know magic happens outside your comfort zone.
I used to be uncomfortable when people asked me what I did for a living.
For years I was afraid to say: ‘I am a clown’.
I thought people weren’t going to take me seriously.
Lots of people didn't, but now I know that was a way to see who didn’t take me seriously.
It got me moving faster forward.
They didn’t understand or weren’t worth the effort of an explanation.
Now I know that people who react as:’ cool’ or ‘great’ are the people of my tribe.
They are the people open and willing to learn and in time will be successful.
Now I say with great pride: ‘I was a clown’ and I don’t even care anymore what your reaction is.
Do you want to know how the attitude of a clown can get you 10x the results 10x faster?
